Liam Maund
Registered Massage Therapist
Liam believes that the key to good health is a holistic approach. Every facet of one’s life can affect the others. The mind controls the body, the body affects the mind - which in turn causes further change in the body - repeating in cycles and creating imbalance. As a graduate of the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, Liam studied more than simple physiology and massage techniques - specializing in scar tissue development, natal growth, and the nervous system. Liam takes an integrative medical approach to massage, combining Swedish and myo-fascial techniques with stretching, movement, and exercises gleaned from his years as a stage performer to create treatment plans based on the specific needs of each client. Liam provides education and encouragement, rooted in understanding.

Maria Laffin
Registered Acupuncturist
Maria is a Registered Acupuncturist, with vast training and experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Maria has an integrative approach to her treatments. She believes in incorporating multiple TCM modalities, such as cupping, gua sha, tuina, moxibustion, scalp acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and TCM nutrition. In addition to TCM modalities, she incorporates breathing techniques and relaxation exercises in order to maximize the treatment outcome. Maria’s needling technique is precise, gentle, and comfortable. Maria also has had advanced training in scalp acupuncture for neurological and psychosomatic disorders with Suzanne Robidoux. She loves performing facial acupuncture and she has advanced training in cosmetic/facial acupuncture.
Using her past experience as a qualitative researcher, Maria believes that listening attentively to her patient’s health issues is key to delivering a gentle acupuncture treatment, helping with the healing process, identifying other hidden health issues, and optimizing treatment. Her passion for acupuncture and TCM started here in Canada, but from a young age, Maria was exposed to natural healing through her mother’s and grandmother’s teachings in Brazil. Bridging the gap and understanding the commonalities between the two ancient forms of medicine has helped Maria to help her patients.
